Tell us a little bit about your dreamy wedding story?✨

My husband, Daniel, and I fell in love with the beautiful boutique farm after we visited Franschhoek together in 2023. It's abundance of French hugenot heritage and unbelievable natural beauty, settled into the Cape mountains, instantly made us feel so relaxed. It encompassed everything we could have hoped for on our day. 

The weather in Cape Town in March was estimated to be in the mid-twenties, but the week of the wedding we were met with an incredible heatwave, with the wedding day reaching 34 degrees. Our ceremony was outside, so we were relieved we had made some preparations with parasols, fans and cold drinks on arrival. 

Thanks to our wonderful planners IDoBox, the day ran so smoothly, from the wedding morning, to ceremony, pre-drinks and canapés, to reception and after party. This allowed us to feel so relaxed, and enjoy being present and having fun!

Tell us about your final bridal look—what did you wear and how did it come together?

When I arrived at Anna Bridal, I instantly fell in love with Wellesley by Suzanne Neville with it's head to toe lace and long trail. It encompassed the Cathedral style look I had always loved. The high slit and removable sleeves also allowed me to stay cool on the day in the heat.

I paired it with a stunning bespoke Suzanne Neville lace cathedral-style veil and wore my hair in a curly up-do underneath to keep the focus on these beautiful items.

Having previously worked for several years in the merchandising team at Jimmy Choo, there was little alternative for me and I chose the beautiful Aurelie with a pearl strap for my shoes.

My parents gifted me the most incredible pair of pearl earrings and matching necklace on the day, it was so sentimental and perfect.

Tell us about your dress shopping at Anna Bridal, what was your stand out moment? 

The whole team at Anna Bridal made me feel so relaxed and helped me bring the ideas and dreams to life.

Do you remember your ‘Yes Moment’What drew you to the gown? How did you know it was the one?

Yes! As soon as I walked out it in it, I just knew it was the one. There was nothing to fault - it just felt right, and it felt me.

What advice would you give to other brides when shopping for their dress?

Choose a dress that you're comfortable in, and that you feel the most yourself. You don't want to feel at unease on your special day.
