LOULOU + MARCUS

LOULOU + MARCUS

Tell us about your dream wedding?

We celebrated our wedding at Pylewell Park in the New Forest, a beautiful country estate by the sea. We wanted the whole day to feel romantic, whimsical and timeless, but more than anything, we wanted it to be fun, full of love and feel like a celebration. We had a completely personalised ceremony with our celebrant and wrote our own vows, which made it feel so personal to us. Our music choices were really personal too, choosing songs that meant something to us and made each part of the day feel even more like ours.

More than anything, we wanted the day to feel fun and full of energy. Having all of our family and friends together, including people who had travelled from around the world to be there, and seeing everyone enjoying themselves and celebrating with us was exactly what we had hoped for.

Tell us about your final bridal look, what did you wear and how did it come together?

For my ceremony and the first part of the day, I wore the Rossini gown by Suzanne Neville. I loved how timeless and elegant it felt, while still having such a beautiful, flattering and romantic shape. I paired it with a long veil and Jimmy Choo Sacora heels, which I actually kept on all day!

For the evening, I changed into the Kerena mini dress by Khanums. It was completely different from my first dress, with gorgeous pearl detailing that made it perfect for the party. I loved being able to have two looks that felt so different but still felt like me.

I kept my jewellery classic and simple with diamond studs and a diamond eternity bracelet, and wore my hair in a bun. I wanted the overall look to feel polished, romantic and timeless.

Tell us about your dress shopping at Anna Bridal, what was your stand out moment?

The team at Anna Bridal made the process so special. They are so warm and kind and genuinely care about every bride who walks through the door. They remember the little things about you and make every appointment feel really personal. Their selection of dresses is amazing too, so there is so much to choose from while still feeling really curated.

Anna is wonderful and made me feel so comfortable and looked after throughout the whole experience. Finding my dress so quickly at that very first appointment was definitely my standout moment. I couldn’t have imagined buying my wedding dress anywhere else.

Do you remember your ‘Yes’ moment?

I chose my dress at my very first appointment and within about half an hour! I fell in love with the Rossini gown immediately and just knew it was the one. It felt so right for me but also matched the romantic, timeless feel of Pylewell Park and the whole vision I had for our wedding day.

What advice would you give to other brides when dress shopping?

Go into dress shopping with an open mind. I went in thinking I wanted something really simple and trendy, but the dress I ended up choosing was completely different to what I had imagined!

Try not to choose something just because you think it’s cool or because it’s what everyone else is wearing. Choose the dress that feels like you, makes you feel beautiful and forget about what anyone else might think. Trust your gut.

It’s also completely natural to question your decision afterwards, but trust your gut. For me, I knew it was the one because all I wanted to do was put it back on again. When you know, you know!
