AIMEE + STRAVINSKY

AIMEE + STRAVINSKY

Tell us about your dream wedding? šŸ¤

We got married at St Giles House in Wimborne St Giles, Dorset, a truly breathtaking manor that set the tone for the whole day. We planned a black-tie wedding where entertainment played a huge role, we wanted the atmosphere to feel elegant but still full of life. The entire day was centred around romance, fun, and music and dancing, and with our 85 guests gathered in such a beautiful setting, it all felt incredibly intimate.

What made it special wasn’t just the stunning venue, but the people we shared it with, and the incredible suppliers who brought everything to life. Their organisation and the seamless flow of entertainment meant we could spend as much time together as possible, really soaking in every moment. All of that combined made the day feel unforgettable.

Tell us about your final bridal look, what did you wear and how did it come together?

Anna and the girls helped me find the dress of my dreams - Suzanne Neville’s Stravinsky gown. It had the most beautiful removable lace sleeves, giving me two looks in one and making it feel even more special throughout the day. I paired it with a simple, elegant veil and the Bella Belle ā€˜Edna’ shoes, which added the perfect touch of lace to tie in with my dress. For my hair, I chose a classic Hollywood wave by Grace Bailey, and for makeup, Louisa Jayne created a timeless, subtle and natural glam that made me feel completely myself.

Tell us about your dress shopping at Anna Bridal, what was your stand out moment?

I can't put into words how amazing Anna, Millie, Kirsty and Ally are. From the very first appointment, they made me feel so welcome and cherished, and I will always remember the kindness, patience, and excitement they shared with me every step of the way during such a special process. Not only did the girls help me find my dream dress, but they filled me with confidence and comfort at every fitting and appointment and offered handy tips and suggestions along the way. Traveling from Jersey, I can honestly say that I looked forward to every trip over and always left with my heart full and a smile on my face. I can hand on heart say that I miss seeing the girls on our monthly visits!

Do you remember your ā€˜Yes’ moment?

I’d always been drawn to the Stravinsky gown and secretly hoped I’d love it on myself just as much as I did on the rail. It was the second dress Millie helped me into, and as soon as I stepped into it, the tears began. When she opened the curtain to show my mum, I knew it was the one - her proud, emotional reaction was all the reassurance I needed. We tried on a few more after that, but nothing compared, and I knew the Stravinsky was my dress!

What advice would you give to other brides when shopping for their dress?Ā

My biggest advice is to trust yourself completely. Don’t let too many opinions sway you, go with your gut and choose the dress that makes you feel the most you and utterly beautiful. Don’t settle for anything less than that feeling. I chose to take only my mum with me because I didn’t want to be influenced by too many voices, and it was the best decision. Your dress should reflect you, not anyone else’s idea of what you should wear.

A note from all of us at Anna Bridal:

Aimee looked absolutely breathtaking in Stravinsky. From the moment she stepped into the gown, it felt effortlessly her - elegant, confident and timeless in the most modern way. Stravinsky framed her beautifully and moved so naturally with her throughout the day, creating a look that felt both considered and completely effortless. Seeing Aimee so relaxed, radiant and truly herself on her wedding day was incredibly special, and we feel so honoured to have been part of her journey.

With all our love,

The Anna Bridal Team x
